What did you love most about writing this book?

It's the second edition, so I was happy to incorporate what I had learned from ARC readers, other authors, and books I read.

How did you start writing?

I started writing when I was in fifth grade but I lacked confidence in myself and stopped. Fast forward twenty years later, after the death of my husband’s grandmother on January 13th, 2022, I decided I wouldn’t let the fear of failure hinder me from following my dreams. Before “Gran,” as myself and husband called her, left this earth, she said, “I have lived my life, and I’ve done everything I wanted to do; I’m ready.” I knew that if my life suddenly came to a tragic end, I wouldn’t be satisfied. That statement inspired me, and I decided to follow my dream of becoming an author.

Tell us a little bit about your self-publishing experience.

It's been a roller-coaster of emotions. Some good some bad moments.

What was your biggest challenge in bringing the book to market and how did you solve it?

I'm still working on the marketing part. It's been very difficult. I haven't solved that part of it.

What's one piece of advice you have for other writers?

Don't give up! No matter how bad you might want to. This advice is for me too. I have to repeat this to myself constantly.

Anything else you want folks to know?

Marketing is very difficult and it's about finding the right audience for your stories. I write more than one genre, so I have been having a hard time finding the right audience.
