Meet Erin A Harper, author of “City of Death”
Tell us what your book, “City of Death” is about!
Sure! Here’s the summary:
In 2044 Taylor Weston is involved in an accident and wakes up as a digital entity in 2274. He has To adjust to a new existence while fighting for his right to exist in the City of Death.
What did you love most about writing this book?
I gave myself a challenge to write a 1st person narrative. I normally write 3rd person omniscient and find 1st person difficult and limiting.
How did you start writing?
A creative writing class in junior high school.
Tell us a little bit about your self-publishing experience.
So far I've just published the one book on Amazon.
What was your biggest challenge in bringing the book to market and how did you solve it?
Just doing it. Sometimes I think I've made procrastination and art form. I finally just had to bu kle down and do it.
What's one piece of advice you have for other writers?
Write whenever you have the opportunity. I do 90% of my writing on my phone and a significant portion of that was done while waiting in line, using the bathroom or any spare few minutes I could find.
Anything else you want folks to know?
I'm a transgender woman and a photographer by training and trade.
