Tell us what your book, “Onyx Rayne,” is about!
Sure! Here’s the summary:
Rayne lives her life how she normally would. That is, until she starts to notice/hear strange things happening. Why are things disappearing? Who does the familiar voice belong to? And is she where she thinks she is?
What did you love most about writing this book?
Being able to bring a story to life, in a unique format (unfiction), as well as the theories people have come up with and the positive reception it's received so far.
How did you start writing?
When I was a kid, I used to really like reading and, at one point, wanted to write my own stories. So, in my school notebooks, I'd go and write different stories and scenes.
Tell us a little bit about your self-publishing experience.
The web-comic was written in chunks (1-3 installments at a time), which people read through, and then (after a cover was made and the first 16 installments were compiled), it was self-published.
What was your biggest challenge in bringing the book to market, and how did you solve it?
Probably figuring out and making the cover. I had to work with it for a bit before I got it the way I wanted it.
What's one piece of advice you have for other writers?
Even if you're not sure if there'll be anyone who will like your story, put it out there anyway. If you like it, there's a good chance someone else will.
